About Courtney

Courtney Geyer is currently in the Master's Entry to Nursing Program (MEPN) at University of South Carolina- Columbia where she is pursuing nursing as a second career. Beyond providing hands-on care, Courtney sees nursing as a powerful role for advocacy, ensuring patients receive safe, respectful and equitable care. In her position as Correspondence Secretary for SC-SNA, Courtney plans to foster transparency, consistency and connection between members, leadership and the broader community we serve. Through effective communication, she hopes to empower nursing students across South Carolina to have a strong, unified voice in advancing the nursing profession. Outside of her roles as nursing student and correspondent secretary, Courtney is an AIr Force Veteran, wife, and mom to four children. 

Correspondent Secretary responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the SNA-SC president to support their communication needs and initiatives.

•  Ensure timely and efficient communication between members and external entities.
