About Josh
Josh (“Joshie”) Dowell is thrilled to serve as the new Nominations and Elections Committee Director. He is so excited to get to know you all and your schools over the next year, by working in collaboration to build upon current local chapters of Student Nurses’ Associations as well as helping to develop new chapters with schools that don’t quite yet have a chapter. He is originally from North Carolina and was raised pretty evenly between there and here in the lovely state of South Carolina. His passions include kayaking, hiking, going out dancing, and anything artistic (of course when time permits when he is not studying and in classes. And a little something about his future goals would be that he is aspiring to land a career as a Registered Nurse First Assist and have his seat at the table… the operating table! He is looking forward to connecting with all of you!
NEC Director Responsibilities:
Responsible for encouraging candidates to run for positions
Raises awareness for the Annual State Convention by traveling to schools across South Carolina to present to nursing students
Updates the SNA-SC Executive Board Candidate Packet annually
Presents pre-slated and newly slated candidates for the executive board positions during convention
Attends all events held by the state and attends local chapter events when invited
