Nominations & Elections Committee Director
I am so excited and blessed to be serving as this year’s NEC Director. This past week, I just started my junior year as a nursing student here at the University of South Carolina and have thoroughly enjoyed growing as a future nurse and gamecock in the heart of our state. After the completion of my BSN program, I hope to go on to receive my masters degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and work to gain experience and eventually become an Oncology or Acute Care Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner. Also, later in my career I would love the opportunity to give back to the education I have received and teach future students in this profession how to excel as a nurse! I chose nursing as my life path because I value what makes up the core of this profession in leadership teamwork, compassion, and loyalty.
During my time at Carolina, I have been involved in many organizations on and off campus, but in my free time I love to do anything outdoors, shopping, exercising, and hanging out with friends and my two sweet cats, Duke and Daisy. Through my position on SNA-SC, I hope to educate other nursing students on this amazing opportunity and the outlets it can have during your time as a student and beyond completion of your degree. Being a part of this team opens doors for strong connections and networking with the hospitals and professionals many of us may go on to work for, and I hope to connect more student nurses in the state with this influential and eye-opening experience.
