SUBMIT A RESOLUTION
We like to encourage everyone to consider writing a resolution. Resolutions are written statements that are the basis for policies and actions of the NSNA. This is another great opportunity to get involved at the state level and potentially the national level. Please view the powerpoint going into detail about how to write a resolution for the SNA-SC state convention:
Writing Resolutions for SNA-SC
You can also find more information from the NSNA at https://www.dropbox.com/s/5mqpw0pof0apn1e/Resolutions%20Guidelines.pdf?dl=0
Resolutions are DUE December 15th. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Austin Horne, legislative@sna-sc.org, if you have questions about resolutions
RUNNING FOR THE SNA-SC EXECUTIVE BOARD
Becoming a member of the SNA-SC state board is an invaluable experience in which students have the opportunity to get involved in a higher level of leadership. As a state board member, students can improve their professional development to lead and mentor other student nurses across the state. Here is the Candidate Packet which explains in detail the positions that we will be voting on at convention. In addition, you can find application for the state board positions.
Please encourage your chapter members to attend this convention and apply for a position, as it would be a great opportunity for all members. Applications to be preslated are due December 15th, but you CAN still run for a position after this date.
CONVENTION AWARDS
You and your SNA chapter may be eligible for convention awards. Here is the Award's Booklet for the 2019 Annual Convention:
Please distribute this packet amongst your members, as there are awards on both the individual and the school level. For those awards that require applications, remember that all applications are due by midnight EST on Saturday, December 15th. Please email all applications to btn@sna-sc.org with the subject line pertaining to the award you are applying for.
