NSNA Deadline for House of Delegates

posted Jan 17, 2012 2:30 PM by Website Director   [ updated Jan 17, 2012 2:30 PM ]

The deadline for determining how many delegates your school will receive for the 2012 NSNA House of Delegates is February 15th.

Below is the current report on how many members each school currently has enrolled as members with NSNA and the 2012 Constituency Application. The directions for turning in the form are on the form. Please read carefully and be sure to complete the entire form! This form MUST be completed before your school delegates can sit in the house of delegates. Regardless if you are going to convention or not, it should still be turned in.

On the Constituency Application, you will see the formula for figuring out how many delegates your school will be able to seat in the House of Delegates.

If you have any questions about the form, please contact president@sna-sc.org. However, if you have any questions about the number of members that NSNA says that you have, you should contact NSNA directly.

The 2011 Nurses Care Walk, sponsored by the South Carolina Nurses Foundation (SCNF), will be on November 5 at 9:30 am in Columbia (Riverfront Park) and Charleston (Wannamaker Park). The purpose of the walk is three-fold:
  • It serves as a fund-raiser to support the mission of SCNF, which is to advance the profession of nursing through awards, scholarships, research, and grants.

Hello!

I hope you have been enjoying your summer and are now getting ready from the fall term as well as the 60th SNA-SC ANNUAL CONVENTION coming up October 6-8th at the Columbia Convention Center. I just wanted to touch base with you and give you some important information as this term comes to an end.

August 20th, SNA-SC is holding a “Back to School Bash” at the Harbison State Forest in Columbia. The board has many fun “water” games planned and much more. Please refer to the attached flyer for advertisement. We are looking forward to ending the summer with some fun interaction with our constituents.

August 20th will also be the last day that we will accept any collected items for our Corridor of Hope Project. We will accept 10 BOX TOPS for admission or a few items from the attached list to finish up. Items include: Band-aids, gauze, Thermometers, Benxo Chloride Wipes, Non-Latex Gloves , Non-Allergenic Tape , Safety Pins, Masks, Orajel, Anbesol, Feminine Hygiene Products, Ace Wraps, Contact Solution, Vision Charts, Blood Pressure Cuffs, Anti-Itch Cream and Lysol. These items will be distributed to the schools in need as part of our Corridor of Hope Project. We will also be selling bottled waters for fifty cents each.

September 10 will be the last COSR meeting before annual convention. The meeting will be held at the SCNA in Columbia and will start at 10am. Please note that this is also the deadline for all Awards and scholarship applications as well as pre-slated candidate packets to be turned in.

The 60th Annual SNA-SC Convention will be held October 6th-8th at the Columbia Convention Center.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
